Omar

Omar is a stand-up comedian based in Hannover, Germany, performing in both English and German. His comedy is built around the awkwardness of everyday life, cultural differences, dating, masculinity, language, and the experience of navigating Germany as a foreigner.

Originally from the UAE and now living in Germany, Omar draws heavily from his own experiences of adapting to German culture and language. His material often starts with an ordinary observation and takes it somewhere completely unexpected — whether that’s developing a theory about why Germans love techno, questioning what actually makes a man “manly,” misunderstanding German words, or trying to survive conversations with girlfriends’ parents.

His style combines dry observational comedy, personal storytelling and absurd premises, often delivered with a deliberately matter-of-fact attitude. Omar enjoys taking seemingly normal situations and finding the ridiculous logic hidden inside them.

In addition to performing, Omar hosts and organizes comedy shows in Hannover, including English-language open mics, giving comedians a space to test new material and audiences the opportunity to discover emerging performers.
